Over the next ten years she moved from volunteer to Lunchroom Supervisor, Educational Assistant, and Supply Teacher while also working under the umbrella of the Tutors in the Classroom program through the Toronto District School Board. While a part of this program she worked with individual students, designing programs that would address their specific strengths and needs, and building relationships that she still treasures today. Along the way she created and taught countless in-class workshops for Language units, designed and piloted her own program for teaching the Ontario Grade 7 & 8 History curriculum which she delivered for many years, and partnered in the running of two successful Drama programs for students from Grades 5-12 that brought her tremendous joy.

The Lord kept opening doors and surprising her with new opportunities to engage students, both teaching and learning alongside them. Finally, God gave her the incredible gift of being able to return to school, beginning with a certificate in Writing & Publishing from George Brown College, then a Bachelors degree in History & Global Studies from Tyndale University, and recently, her Bachelors of Education, also from Tyndale.

It has been a journey that has taught her more and more about the faithfulness of her Heavenly Father, and the goodness and grace of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She prays that the privilege of joining the staff at Westminster will allow her to share her experience, her passion for knowledge, her pleasure in all things creative and, most importantly, her love for the Lord, with her students. She feels so incredibly blessed to be a part of such a dedicated and committed group of parents and educators with such an obvious heart and vision for the learners in their care.
