WCCA Annual Skate-A-Thon

The Skate-a-thon is the main student-led fundraising event of the year.  We ask ALL students to be involved in raising money!

Event Details

• Location: McCormick Arena (179 Brock Ave. Toronto) 
• Date: Thursday, February 13, 2025
• Early Dismissal: All students will be dismissed to their parents promptly at 2:00 PM.
  Parents will need to take their children to the arena. 
• We have access to the ice starting at 2:30 PM. The event will officially end at 4:30 PM.
• We will enjoy a time of fellowship with coffee, hot chocolate, and Timbits at the arena after students are finished skating.
• Thursday, February 13th is a Free Dress Day. 
• Students must wear skates and helmets on the ice. (There is no skate rental at the arena)
• It is recommended for younger children to wear snow pants or heavier clothing for warmth and to soften falls.

Fundraising Goal & Pledge Forms

• Our fundraising goal this year is $20,000. 
• We ask that each family try to raise at least $300 to meet our goal.
• Students are encouraged to reach out directly to friends and family to ask for their sponsorship. Please keep track of your sponsors’ information on the provided pledge form.
• Students will not be sponsored per lap. Sponsors should simply donate a total amount of money.
• Donations over $40 will receive a tax receipt.
