DESCRIPTION:https://westminsterclassical.ca/wp2017/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Skate-a-thon-Video-for-Event-Page-1.mp4\nThe Skate-a-thon is the main student-led fundraising event of the year.  We ask ALL students to be involved in raising money! \nEvent Details \n\nLocation: McCormick Arena (179 Brock Ave. Toronto) \nDate: Thursday\, February 13\, 2025\nEarly Dismissal: All students will be dismissed to their parents promptly at 2:00 PM. \nParents will need to take their children to the arena. \nWe have access to the ice starting at 2:30 PM. The event will officially end at 4:30 PM.\nWe will enjoy a time of fellowship with coffee\, hot chocolate\, and Timbits at the arena after students are finished skating.\nThursday\, February 13th is a Free Dress Day. \nStudents must wear skates and helmets on the ice. (There is no skate rental at the arena)\nIt is recommended for younger children to wear snow pants or heavier clothing for warmth and to soften falls.\n\n  \nFundraising Goal & Pledge Forms \n\nOur fundraising goal this year is $20\,000. \nWe ask that each family try to raise at least $300 to meet our goal.\nStudents are encouraged to reach out directly to friends and family to ask for their sponsorship. DESCRIPTION:Every year the Grade 5 and 6 classes at WCCA spearhead a school-wide food drive in support of our very own Westminster Chapel Food Bank! Last year\, we donated over 700 high-demand food items such as canned fish\, vegetables and beans\, peanut butter\, cereals\, pasta\, baby formula\, and other non-perishable foods to help those in need in the heart of Toronto. We welcome community members to participate by dropping off their non-perishable food bank items to the side door (ring doorbell beside playground) Monday to Friday\, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.\, for the duration of the food drive. Thank you so much for helping us reach this year’s goal of 600 food items!

SUMMARY:3rd Annual WCCA Golf Tournament
DESCRIPTION:The WCCA Golf Classic is a great opportunity to enjoy fellowship\, friendly competition\, a tasty lunch and\, of course\, 18 holes of golf. \nThe goal for the 3rd Annual WCCA Golf Tournament is expansion. Last year the event had 56 players and raised about $16\,000 for the school. This year we have taken a leap of faith and committed to a 72 player shotgun start! We are asking everyone to invite all your friends and family to join us. This year\, all of your donations will be allocated to replacing the gym floor at our new second location at Olivet Baptist Church\, which will house our Upper School grades.
