SUMMARY:WCCA Annual Skate-A-Thon
DESCRIPTION:https://westminsterclassical.ca/wp2017/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Skate-a-thon-Video-for-Event-Page-1.mp4\nThe Skate-a-thon is the main student-led fundraising event of the year.  We ask ALL students to be involved in raising money! \nEvent Details \n\nLocation: McCormick Arena (179 Brock Ave. Toronto) \nDate: Thursday\, February 13\, 2025\nEarly Dismissal: All students will be dismissed to their parents promptly at 2:00 PM. \nParents will need to take their children to the arena. \nWe have access to the ice starting at 2:30 PM. The event will officially end at 4:30 PM.\nWe will enjoy a time of fellowship with coffee\, hot chocolate\, and Timbits at the arena after students are finished skating.\nThursday\, February 13th is a Free Dress Day. \nStudents must wear skates and helmets on the ice. (There is no skate rental at the arena)\nIt is recommended for younger children to wear snow pants or heavier clothing for warmth and to soften falls.\n\n  \nFundraising Goal & Pledge Forms \n\nOur fundraising goal this year is $20\,000. \nWe ask that each family try to raise at least $300 to meet our goal.\nStudents are encouraged to reach out directly to friends and family to ask for their sponsorship. Please keep track of your sponsors’ information on the provided pledge form.\nStudents will not be sponsored per lap. Sponsors should simply donate a total amount of money.\nDonations over $40 will receive a tax receipt. \n\n  \nWant to Support the Skate-A-Thon Directly? \nPlease send an e-transfer to business.admin@westminsterclassical.ca and put ‘Skate-a-Thon” plus the family’s name you’d like to associate your donation with (if applicable) in the memo line.\n \nThank you for your support.
